On the first day of competitions, the Swiss and the Austrian champions triumph.
On the podium, the official bottle of the Consortium of the Prosecco DOC event, produced by Serena Wines 1881.
Among mutual compliments, smiles and enthusiasm, today’s podium was celebrated together with the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco DOC, the official sparkling partner of the event. On the podium, together with the winners, the bottles of Prosecco DOC produced in a Limited Edition exclusive for these World Alpine Ski Championships by Serena Wines 1881.
Prosecco DOC, in fact, is the official wine of the Cortina 2021 World Championships and for this reason, for the entire duration of the world championship event, it will be the only and inimitable bubble on the podium to celebrate the triumphs of the athletes. The most famous wine in Italy, in fact, with a production of 540 million bottles a year represents the largest DOC in the world, an excellence of “made in Italy” contained in the claim “Prosecco DOC – Italian Genio” which represents the love for sport, the passion for the mountains and the enhancement of the Italian tradition.
“For us it is a great emotion to be able to participate in this great international showcase as an official sparkling partner – declares Luca Giavi, General Manager of the Prosecco DOC Consortium – This is an unprecedented promotional moment, both for Prosecco and for the “made in Veneto” in general now in the global spotlight. Furthermore, the Cortina 2021 Ski World Championships allow us once again to be direct protagonists at home, in the wonderful and rich territory of Veneto where sport and culture blend perfectly with our claim “Italian Genius”. Sports activity and cultural richness nourish us deeply by constantly improving our quality of life, but ultimately Prosecco DOC is the added value that then lifts the human soul! “. On the other hand, as the President of the Veneto Region Luca Zaia declared last year on the occasion of Vinitaly, “where there is a competition there is a medal, where there is a medal there is a party, where there is a a party there is Prosecco ».
